Thrift Store Amp find - joshbailey.tv - 04-30-2026

Found this little tube amp for $10 at a thrift store. Cleaned it up and replaced the fuse and it works perfectly! Has a nice, warm tone to it. If I have the time, later I'll upload a video so you all can hear it.
I don't have much info other than it was made by a company called Takt (Teisco). Cool little find, and just thought I'd share.

That looks incredible. Never heard of Takt, looks like it was made in the 60's? What a find, especially for $10! Be curious to hear it

Yeah, it definitely looks killer. The red is so sick! I think Takt was made by Teisco. Which was a Japanese company that was popular in the 60s-70s. I believe they made a lot of the guitars and amps for Sears. Here is a quick video showing it off a little. The DJI mics probably aren't doing it any favors but even still it doesn't sound half bad for a little 6" speaker! Definitely has a nice warm tone.
